Internships
All CAMHC services are delivered by unpaid professionals including psychologists, licensed professional counselors, social workers, and therapists-in-training. Internships at CAMHC not only serve to earn licensure hours but also help serve the needs of the community. Interns at CAMHC gain experience available in few other venues.
There are always many more clients needing services than there are volunteers to see them. For every therapist that can volunteer at CAMHC, approximately 5 to 15 clients presently needing services can begin therapy.
We are very selective in the therapist we recruit, and the philosophy of long- term psychotherapy is what we believe in with regard to long-lasting change. What we ask:
- Minimum caseload of 5 ongoing weekly clients
- Minimum 6 month commitment
